Who We Are
REACH is a Haverhill-based charity proactively tackling poverty rather than reactively responding to financial hardship.
We are determined and passionate to work towards flourishing, thriving and resilient people in the communities we support!
Our mission is to work together, for as long as it takes, to relieve and prevent financial hardship whilst tackling the causes, and advocating for change.

Our main areas of work
Prevention | Policy | Long-term Support | Emergency Aid
At Reach Community Projects, our mission is to provide emergency support to individuals and families facing severe food, fuel, and financial insecurity. For over 19 years, we have been committed to offering personalised, long-term assistance that meets the unique needs of those in crisis.
Through home visits, we serve people in Haverhill, Newmarket and Linton, as well as more isolated rural areas across South Cambridgeshire, ensuring access to emergency food, utilities vouchers, financial advice, benefit support, housing assistance, and more.
We also work to prevent poverty by delivering financial literacy education in schools and prisons, equipping people with the tools they need to manage their finances and improve their futures.
We empower local people to rebuild their lives by providing practical help, from budgeting advice and cookery classes to court appeals and eviction support. We also extend beyond our financial services by helping clients reconnect with the community and regain stability.
We started this work in 2005 and have a strong reputation. We work with our clients for as long as it takes, offering tailored support, until such a time that they can stand on their own two feet again. We want to see thriving, flourishing communities where everyone can afford life's essentials such as food and warmth, and are enabled to live their lives to the full. For some, this means a few months of face-to-face support, often in their home, to preserve dignity. For others, we continue to support for a much longer period.
