Stephen Lewis - Foodbank Manager 

My name is Steve and I’m a proud dad of 2 grown up kids and 2 grandkids. I was born in Harlow and eventually moved to Haverhill in 1997 via Sawbridgeworth. I now live in Helions Bumpstead with my partner Vikkie, 2 spaniels and 8 chickens.

I started my working life as a milkman before moving into the meat trade for 27 years. Having taken redundancy, I’ve been fortunate to have 10 months off. During this time I have been volunteering locally and have found it very rewarding helping others.

I am a trained Clay shooting coach and help run several Shooting clubs/syndicates. I enjoy the outdoor life, walking and working my dogs, shooting, fishing and Indoor carpet bowls. I also enjoy visiting nice restaurants. And I like to read.

I passionate about eating good quality food, cooking from scratch and supporting the British ‘Farm to fork’ food chain where possible.
