Saffron Carter – Engagement & Advocacy Lead
I have lived near and in Haverhill all my life. After working in different hospitality and retail positions, I found my feet working with wine. Which remains one of my favourite hobbies!
 
The Coronavirus pandemic made me realise that I would like to find a more fulfilling challenge and having admired the work of REACH in Haverhill, I was extremely excited to find a position here.
 
My role is part of a project in partnership with the Trussell Trust with the end goal of reducing inequality and the need for foodbanks. My priorities are to engage with the community and advocate for them, to bring about positive change. I have always been interested in social policy and studied Politics and Sociology whilst at sixth form. I am keen to support the community both in and around Haverhill and help the town flourish.  
 
My hobbies include reading about wine (& of course tasting), learning languages (Spanish and Italian), walking and playing football.
